Frank Teams With Heidi Newfield to “Sponsor an Angel”

The Sponsor an Angel concert at The Castle Theatre was a huge success. Frank and Heidi auctioned off a custom Dos Equis guitar, which brought in $2000 toward fundraising efforts for Victory Junction Gang Camp for terminally ill and disabled children. Thanks to all who participated, and to Dos Equis for sponsorship and providing the custom guitar!

It’s CMAfest time! For those of you that are not aware , CMA fest is
the gathering of country music fans (tens of thousands) from all over
the country and the world ending up right here in Nashville. Most
every country artist you can imagine is present to perform and meet up
with the fans during this event and happy to be a part of it. This
year it is on June 9th,10th,11th and 12th and it’s a hot one people.
When I speak to fellow artists about CMAfest the one thing that comes
up all the time is the fact that our fans are running around in the
sweltering heat, standing in lines, etc in support of their favorite
artists and that is just one reason why country music fans are the
best fans in the world…they are loyal.
Last year I met folks that have written me from different parts of the
world, and to have them standing right in front of me knowing they have
come from places like Germany and France to be part of this great
event is a humbling experience.

Each year it gets a little bigger for
me and this year is no exception, I’ll be performing about 5 or 6
shows and this year I get to perform on a CMA stage as well. I look
forward to meeting so many new people from all over our great country
and the world while sharing my music as well. I’m gonna tear it up
this year with my band and meet as many new fans as I can. Stay tuned
for all the info on where and when I’ll be appearing during CMA fest
this year.

Frank’s album is coming!

It’s almost done! I’ve been threatening that an album is coming for awhile now and its getting to be about that time. Were droppin’ a six song album and calling it a “six pack”..there will be a special surprise bonus song on this album making it seven in total. I’ll announce the name of the album right before we release it. The price will be around the $7.00 mark and I say you pick up one or ten! It will be available on iTunes and all the usual suspects online as well as some other places that we will announce at the right time. I love the songs on this record and hope that you will too..I’ll keep you posted as to when the first single goes to radio and the exact release date of this record.

If you want to be one of the first to know what’s going on with me, you can text the word “ortega” to 99000 and when there is something worth letting you know…you will hear it first! You wont get bogged down with spam text or multiple texts, you simply will hear from my team when we truly have something to say! I look

Hey now…. well the Cinco De Mayo show in Franklin Tn went pretty good..I had a lot of fun and by the looks of things, everyone else did as well. I led our attempt into the Guinness World Record book, but it looks like we came up a few hundred shy. Oh well, looks like we have to do it again next year!

I asked my dear friend and legend “Manuel” to join me on stage for the toast and that was pretty special, speaking of “special”…I had stopped by the Mayor’s office a few days before this event and asked if I could get a proclamation and it took them all of 30 seconds to say yes!
They are a great bunch of people and the Mayor (Dr. Ken Moore) is a great guy who just happens to be a hand surgeon no less! He is a very nice man and he’s got my vote.
The highlight of the Cinco de Mayo show was presenting the proclamation to Manuel, he truly is a legend and if you are not aware of him take a moment and pull him up on Wikipedia etc and I’m sure you will find him quite interesting. His son Manny is a great guy too and will continue the legacy. There is a new single and it will be going to radio around the end of the summer and it will be announced soon, I also have been threatening that an album is coming and that too will happen so stay posted. Hey y’all, we had a great time at my performance on the 19th. I was joined by my great friends Ira Dean and Trent Jeffcoat, they did a great job and everyone loved them! I am so grateful to have my friend the legendary Aaron Barker come up and sing one of his many big hits!

I truly enjoyed myself and look forward to more live performances.
